By combining exciting new technologies like Augmented Reality and Video Projection with live action elements, participants will explore exciting new interactive storytelling possibilities in this “can’t be missed” workshop.
In this exciting two-day workshop, participants will fully illustrate a short story through interactive media. By combining live action elements and creative technologies, such as augmented reality and video projection, creating a cohesive and immersive finished project.
Alexandra Zaccaria has worked with some of the world’s biggest brands and cultural institutions on a host of incredible interactive projects. She’ll be bringing that breath of knowledge and experience to Winnipeg as she guides participants through this hands-on workshop that is unlike anything New Media Manitoba has ever presented. The practical applications for projects involving this type of integration with real-world objects and virtual ones include museum exhibitions, musical performances, theatrical performances and retail experiences.

Alexandra Zaccaria is a creative director and multimedia experiential designer with a passion for mixing real and digital worlds. Over the last 10 years, her love of innovation, technology, and design has led to a diverse spectrum of projects in production design & interactive exhibition display for campaigns that have reached audiences across the globe. Alexandra has worked with The Museum of Modern Art, The Cooper Hewit and The Guggenheim in addition to collaborating with some of the world’s top tech and entertainment industry giants. Most recently, she spearheaded creative direction at Lightbox a digital art and immersive storytelling space in NYC. Alexandra’s biggest thrill comes from pushing boundaries in visual storytelling, and she hopes to inspire endless imagination through immersive projects in augmented reality, live gaming and new media design.
